KETTLEBELL SPORT COMPETITION HISTORY, TITLES & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Australia’s 1st MSIC (Highest rank in Kettlebell Sport) 

Jad Marinovic is a 6-time World Champion Professional kettlebell sport athlete, and 7-time world champion in the Veteran division, world record holder, pioneer, and most decorated kettlebell sport athlete in Australia achieving multiple firsts in Kettlebell Sport in both classic and non-traditional disciplines.  Some highlights include becoming the first Australian to be ranked  “Master of Sport International class”(MSIC), and to date ranks achieved include 4 x MSIC, and 9 x Master of sport (MS)  titles. Jad is Australia’s first international Kettlebell Marathon champion and winner, and in the world she is a kettlebell marathon pioneer for woman lifting two kettlebells for one hour, and most recently the first person in the world to lift two kettlebells for three hours. To date she is also the first and only Australian to win a Power Juggling title.  Jad Marinovic’s competition history, timeline and athlete achievement highlights below:

2020

July 25th

Winner with a total of 6.85 points at the 2nd stage of the International online tournament of Kettlebell – Geary IN THE AIR 2020 in the veteran category, and in addition 2nd place in the Amateur division which was very close to first place total points 6.9 out of 6 athletes!

June 25th

1st place KIRBITOV power juggling Open Online Cup in Perm city in Russia of kettlebell juggling in the Amateur category with 8 kg achieving a total of 7.2 points.

March

1st place Absolute Power Juggling 8 kg champion 5,54 points category women veterans, and 2nd place in the Amateur division competing in the first stage of the International online tournament of Kettlebell – Geary IN THE AIR 2020 .  1st in Australian to place 1st in a Kettlebell Power Juggling event.

2019

Gold  competing in 4 events (TALC, OALC , Snatch, TALC Kettlebell Half Marathon with 2 x 12 kg, and 1 x Silver) at the 2019 27th IGSF Kettlebell Sport World Championship!  Other achievements included winning Gold for Team Australia, Gold in the Women’s Kettlebell Relay (AUS + USA), MS Snatch, MSIC OALC, and becoming official Vice President of IGSF !  Stay tuned for the 2019 27th IGSF Kettlebell Sport World Championship Recap by Jad Marinovic!

 2019 IGSF Team Australia won Gold at the 27th IGSF World Championship in Melbourne which is a first in Kettlebell Sport history for an Australian Kettlebell Sport Team!

1st Place Absolute Snatch 12 kg Champion in Half Marathon at the KBA Perth Open / 2nd WGP Perth, Australia.

1st Place Absolute Jerk 2 x 16 kg and Snatch 16 kg  in 58 kg w/c PRO Champion at the KBA Melb Open / 6th WGP at the 5th Arnold Sports Festival

1st person in the world to lift double kettlebells (2 x 8 kg) for 3 hours nonstop in a kettlebell marathon event setting new World Record!

1st Place Absolute TAJ  2 x 16 kg  and snatch 16 kg in 58 kg W/C at the 1st IGSF Australia Cup

  • 2020 1st and only Australian to win in a Power Juggling competition to date.
  • In 2019 World 1st IGSF Kettlebell Half Marathon World Champion in TALC -70 W/C

  • In 2018 Australia’s 1st WAKSC Kettlebell Marathon World Championship in the 1 Hour TALC Kettlebell marathon achieving Gold (age category) & 1st Australian Master of Sport and World Record lifting doubles in age category.

  • 2016 Jad became 1st first Australian to achieve the highest title in Kettlebell Sport which is the rank “Master of Sport International Class” with 24 kg in Russia at the Moscow World Cup organized by ASM Vityaz. I have trained years for this title and to achieve it in Moscow where the first official kettlebell Sport competition was in 1948 was a dream come true. I also made kettlebell sport history becoming 1st female in the World to achieve the MSIC rank with 24 kg in a kettlebell marathon event in an official competition.  In addition MSIC rank officially recognised by Ketacademy!

  • 2015 1st Australian Kettlebell Marathon World Champion, World Record representing Australia at the 1st in History Kettlebell Marathon World Championships in Minsk, Belarus. In 2015 achieved the rank MSWC.

  • 2015 1st Australian to lift for 2 hours in a Super Marathon recognised by IKMF! Also 1st in World officially recognised by IKMF.

  • In 2018 I became Australia’s 1st WAKSC Kettlebell Marathon World Championship in the 1 Hour TALC Kettlebell marathon achieving Gold (age category) & 1st Australian Master of Sport and World Record lifting doubles in  age category.
